Va Beach- Dale Belinda Spivey “Lindy,” formerly of Colonial Heights passed away Dec. 10, 2013. Survivors include her husband, Paul A. Spivey; father, Herbert Burnett “Tony;” mother, Connie Arthur; son, Christopher Nunnally Kristin; daughter, Angela Brown; five grandchildren; brothers, Bubba & David Burnett and Donnie Coltes; mother in law, Edna Spivey; brother in law, Charlie Spivey; sister in laws, Patty Spivey & Donna Yeatts; also numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday Dec. 16 at 6:30pm at The Heights Baptist Church, 17201 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Colonial Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to help cover Lindy’s final expenses may be sent payable to Paul Spivey and mailed to Cremation Society of Virginia, 5265 Providence Rd. My sweet sister always you will be remembered in HAPPY THOUGHTS ... you were my BEST FRIEND ... and I could not have asked for better ... I love for ETERNITY ... and will see you on the other side ... Love You Lindy ... mwauuuuuuuh ...

I met Lindy when our children fell in love. Years passed and we shared our grandson Oliver. She was a generous, gentle, kind soul who never met a stranger and always had something nice to say about everyone. Lindy loved her family and the Lord more than worldly possessions. I am certain she is with the Lord today. Until we meet again Mee-maw, rest in peace. I will miss you. Love you, Ganny.

It has been many years since we used to hang out. Both of our girls were still at Pinchbeck. I hope in your passing you find love, patience, and the glory you so deserve. My heart goes out to your family in this time of need.

Lindy had a heart of gold. She was fun to be around. She loved people and animals. Everyone, even animals, lit up when she entered a room. She is going to be missed by so many. My prayers are with her family during their time of loss. I know she is at peace with the Lord in heaven. Love you, Lindy. I'm glad you were my friend.

Lindy was a good friend. We enjoyed many hours talking about everything. It was great when she used to live across the street. It would be a better world if more people were like Lindy. My dear friend, you will truly be missed. Even though you're in a better place with no more pain, I still wish you were here. Praying for your family who I know miss you more than ever. Melissa had so much fun giving you all those little angels over the years. She knew how much they meant to you. We all love you.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

There was never a day that Lydia didn't have a kind word when we would see each other. She was a very wonderful woman who didn't care who you were or what you did for a living. God has called one of his children home. I'd like to think that while she went through all the trials of her life, God was actually preparing her for himself. God be with Mike and her family. We will truly miss her.
