Daniel Duffy, 30, died on July 11, 2011 at his home in Norfolk. He was born on August 1, 1980. His mother Karen Duffy predeceases Daniel.
Daniel is survived by his father Raymond Duffy, his step mother Margaret Peg Duffy, brothers Andrew and David Duffy, and step brothers Matthew Allen, Joseph and Samuel Neejer.
In lieu of flowers we suggest donations to the Knights of Columbus for their efforts in supporting those challenged. St. Benedict Council #9056, 5351 Virginia Beach Boulevard Box 3, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

I was friends with Daniel since we were little kids from elementary school all the way through high school. He was a great friend and we pretty much spent every summer together. He always had high energy and was coming up with fun ideas. The last time I remember hanging out with Daniel was shortly after his mother died. Daniel was the type of person who would cheer me up in the most difficult times, and then to my curiosity be concerned why. He could always make me laugh during my hardest times and then would ask me what was funny. He was a rare type of person who showed love towards me even when I had nothing to offer in return, because he did not want anything in return. As his brother had said, he would not want his death to be an anchor upon anyone, but an inspiration to love more and better. I will miss him, and remember the good times we had together, always.
