Virginia Beach – Daniel Philip Tormohlen II, 64, formerly of Franklin, VA, died August 13, 2009 in his favorite place, Sandbridge Beach, VA.
Born in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, he was the son of Ruth Jordan Tormohlen and the late Daniel Philip Tormohlen. Dan retired from Union Camp and was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church. His retirement job was working at Disney World while he and his wife, Joni realized their dream of traveling around the country in their RV.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Joanne Tormohlen; two daughters, Andrea Willis and husband Troy Willis of Perry, GA; Erin Tormohlen of Virginia Beach, VA; and his mother Ruth Tormohlen of Freeport, IL. He is further survived by his two sisters, Judy Hinz of Sioux Falls, SD; Rebecca Legan of Pueblo, CO and one brother Dave Tormohlen of Tomahawk, WI. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, the lights of his life, Lauren and Alex Willis of Perry, GA.
Visitation will be Tuesday 8/18 from 7-9pm, a Memorial Service will be held Wednesday 8/19 at 11 a.m., both at Franklin Presbyterian Church.
