Danilo Santilla Frances, born on March 24, 1947, in the Philippines, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, in Virginia Beach at the age of 78.
Danilo dedicated his career to serving others as a phlebotomist for the Red Cross, where he spent many years contributing to the health and well-being of those in need. His gentle demeanor and kindness left a lasting impact on both colleagues and patients alike.
Family was of utmost importance to Danilo. In his younger days, he cherished moments spent with his children, taking them to fly kites at Mt. Trashmore, creating memories that would last a lifetime. He was often seen donning his favorite jersey, number 49, a testament to his passion for the game he loved to watch fervently. In his later years, he found joy in visits to the casino, where he shared laughter and companionship with his devoted wife, Paulina.
Danilo is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Paulina Frances, with whom he shared a life filled with love and adventure. Together, they raised four children, two residing in the Philippines and two in Virginia, who will forever treasure the lessons and love imparted by their father. He is also survived by his sister, who remained a constant presence in his life.
The family wishes to convey their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered support and condolences during this difficult time. A service to honor Danilo’s life will be held in the Philippines at a date and time to be determined.
