Danny Joe Feamster
May 24, 1960 – April 9, 2024
“There are experiences in life that are beyond our control and our limited strength to
endure”
At the age of 63, Danny has been freed of pain, his faith in Jesus has carried him to peace.
Danny was born in the mountains of West Virginia in Monroe County. Danny had a natural
aptitude for music at a very early age. His performances in the public began in his teens
opening for top headliners in the WV State Fair. He moved on to Japan when he joined the
Army in 1978. While in Japan, he became a member of the Sha-Boom band, entertaining
overseas. Locally, he was a former member of the of the Dixieland Jazz Band.
His favorite instrument was the sousaphone, but not limited to the other 4 horns in the tuba
family that he played.
Danny was a multi-faceted career professional, including, Henson Airlines, U.S. Customs,
TSA, Real Estate , as well as managing distribution of publications for Distributech and Auto
Trader, CHKD Security, Dominion Pictures (actor in the FBI Files); plus his entrepreneurial
business ventures.
Those who knew Danny experienced his kind and sensitive spirit, but most of all, his
impromptu sense of humor was memorable. If you were lucky enough to catch one of those
“one liners” on the fly, that he so surprisingly would share—just to make you LOL!! Last but
not least, is his lifelong love of the Dallas Cowboys all the way back to childhood at the age
of 10! So, it was meant to be for him to be riding in his customized Dallas Cowboys golf cart
around the neighborhood, if not for the kindness of
good neighbors! “Thank goodness for the Sunray community!”
is what he would have said!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Lee Bostic and talented Daddy, Leland Clyde Feamster. And survived by his brothers, Lee (Nancy), Steve (Sarah) ; niece, Cassandra,
her son, Joey , and nephew, Seth; goddaughter, Nicole Przybylski.
He will be more than missed every day by his dearest friend and loving companion,
Mary Ann Wagnstrom of 30 years. Mary Ann would say Danny Feamster was All American,
Gentle, Loving, Patriotic and a charmingly happy person. Danny had heavenly gifts that
inspired others in countless ways. Even in his darkest moments of pain, he could note others
positive qualities and attributes, just to break the silence of his pain when he had to be treated
or hospitalized. Danny was always shining through, even though his time seemed all too brief,
he made impacts on others through numerous valiant acts of selfless courage, that at times
were silent… noting his care for myself and my parents, Eva and Sonny Wagnstrom. He treated
them as his own parents.
Now that he is eternally resting. Lift up your hearts in peace to Thee … God wanted him now…
He set him free. “AMEN”
For all the blessings of everyone who gave exemplary care
over all the years during Danny’s long-term illness….
He would want to say “Thank you”
God Bless our friends and neighbors who have supported Danny
with endless prayers and love.
