It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Axel Clement, known affectionately as Dave, who peacefully left this world on November 7, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family and will be deeply missed.
Dave was born in Bowbells, North Dakota, on January 19, 1942. He was the youngest of four children born to Axel and Ruth Clement, and he cherished his upbringing in a close-knit family. At the age of seventeen, Dave answered the call of duty and joined the Marines, proudly serving his country for four years. His dedication and commitment to serving others continued as he transitioned into a career as a police officer, where he faithfully served his community for ten years.
Upon retiring from his law enforcement profession, Dave embarked on a new chapter of his life. He joined Lamb Westin and worked as a Quality Control Supervisor until his retirement. In his well-deserved retirement, Dave and his beloved wife Wendy moved to Virginia. Dave’s greatest pleasure was spending time with his cherished family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. He found immense joy in watching them grow and thrive, always offering his unwavering support, and love.
Dave’s memory will forever be treasured by those who survive him. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wendy Clement, sons; Marty Dobbins (Kim), Barry Dobbins (Patty), daughters; Tracie Howard and Jodi Mullis, his loving sister June Rigby, fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
