David H. Wyke, 86, passed away March 28, 2018. Born in Lenoir, NC, he was the son of the late David Columbus Wyke and Jessie Roena Turnmeyer. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Raymond Wyke, Reba Bostain and Mary Emma Taylor. David retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and was a member of the “Hard Travelling” band for many years. He is survived by his daughters, Beverly Funk and Linda Wilson. Burial will be at a later date in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lenoir, NC. Cremation Society of Virginia is in charge of arrangements.
