David and I had been fdiends since 1995. We were active supporters of Grear Bridge and Old Dominion wrestling. David was the man who produced the Great Bridge wrestling annual. It was a publication that contained each wrestler's photo and their wrestling accomplishments. lt had photos of the coaches and school officials, wrestling trivia questions, and advertisements from team sponsors. It was a big production every year. He produced this keepsake selflessly and at no cost to those who received it. He was a very fine man, a cherished friend who my brother and I will miss.for years to come. He is a huge loss to the community and to his close friends..

I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a great person. I had the blessing of working with, and being friends with David. He was always willing to help with whatever he could, and was very friendly. He has been encouraging and thoughtful through my ongoing battle with cancer and I will miss his inspiring personality. My sympathy and prayers go out to his family.

I had known David for over 25 years through our church, Church of the Epiphany. For years I would see him mainly at. Christmas and Easter and other special occasions when he would attend with his Mom and family. He never failed to speak to me and ask how I and my family were doing. In more recent years, he became a very active, vibrant member of our church family. He was always willing to pitch in and do what was needed, from serving on vestry to carrying a load of stuff at the yard sale to clearing tables or taking out trash after an event. The enthusiasm and joy he found in his friends, fellowship, music, ODU, biking and every new day brought happiness to those of us fortunate enough to call him a friend. It is with shock and sadness that we mourn his too-soon and senseless death. My prayers go out for all his family.
