David Ramos, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Norfolk, VA, at the age of 65. Born on August 29, 1959, in Travis County, TX, David lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family, friends, and passions. He was devoted in his faith and a founding member of PromiseLand Church in San Marcos, Texas.
David spent much of his professional career as a Wire Technician with Thermon, where he was known for his dedication and meticulous work ethic. Beyond his professional life, David held a profound love for baseball. He was an avid fan of the Houston Astros and enjoyed playing for “The Jokers,” a local intramural softball team, where he made countless memories and lifelong friendships.
Family was the cornerstone of David’s life. He was a devoted husband to Jacinta Ramos, with whom he shared 36 wonderful years. Together, they raised a loving family that includes their daughters, Christina Ruiz her spouse, Robert and Tabitha Ramirez, and her spouse, Barbara. David was also a proud grandfather to Alyssa Campos, Elijah Campos, Rudy Ramirez, Robert Ruiz, Jr., Socratez Ruiz, Domenic Ruiz, and MarkAnthony Jimenez. David’s legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Adilyn, Hazel, Adriel, MarkAnthony,II, and Lyla. David is also survived by his brother, Carlos Ramos and a sister, Veronica “Sandra” Dautel, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. David is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Elijio Perez-Ramos and Frances Ramos. His warmth, humor, and love have left an indelible mark on those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service to celebrate David’s life will be held 10am on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at the PromiseLand Church in San Marco, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the extraordinary life of this incredible man.
