Through saddened beyond measure at the untimely and sudden loss of Dennis Edward Hancock, 73, passed away on March 11, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Newport News on May 6, 1948. He preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael; and his nephew. He is survived by his wife, Janet Fletcher Hancock; his daughter, Amanda Hancock Pope and her husband, Jacob; grandchildren, Cassady and Lucian Pope; his sister, Pam; two brothers, Ronnie and Edwin; and many nephews and nieces. He was retired from Newport News School System as Foreman Painter. Funeral services are private.
