Sherry, We were deeply saddened reading about Dennis. Even through a written obituary, his warmth and kindness came through so clearly. He truly sounds like the kind of brother you immediately would have wanted to know personally. Reading about his life, his endurance, his love for family, and his spiritual family made us wish we had the opportunity to sit with him, hear his experiences, and call him our friend too. The part about Paradise, California especially touched us. During those terrible fires, we prayed often for all the brothers, sisters, and families affected there. Reading now about what you and Dennis endured brought those memories right back to us. So many suffered loss, upheaval, and heartbreak during that time. And what a beautiful thought it is that Dennis’ life has always been safely held in Jehovah’s memory. That never changed. Now he simply rests peacefully, awaiting the resurrection hope promised at John 5:28, 29. Faithful brothers like Dennis make that promise feel very real and very close. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you, again.

Dennis has been a great friend, neighbor, and brother (and dog sitter :)). Such a kind and thoughtful person. Dennis and Sherry were our neighbors for 10 years in Paradise when we were newlyweds and have been such a wonderful source love, wisdom, and comfort over the years. We love them both and want to express our deepest sympathy. Can’t wait to see him again in the real Paradise!
