Denny “Boppy” R. Pauley, went to be with our Lord on Sun. 6/05/2016. He died from cancer with family by his side. Born 10/10/1946 in Dorothy WV to the late Denny and Marjorie Pauley. Denny leaves behind his loving wife Therese; son Christopher. Also children Devon/David Neff, David Stinson, Jacqueline/Randy Woodcock. He was “Boppy” to 5 grandchildren; Charlie and Andie Woodcock; Catesby, Alex and Chase Neff. He will be sorely missed by his sisters Lucy/Royce Stanley, Corba/Steve Hendren; brother Richard/Sue Pauley; and many loving nieces & nephews.
He graduated from Clear Fork High School, Colcord WV. After serving in the Army he returned to NJ to be with family. Denny worked for Pfister Chemical, Ridgefield NJ then moved to Lorton VA working and retiring from Verizon as an underground cable troubleshooter. Finally, he got the fun job at Dicks Sporting Goods in the Golf Dept., go figure. He and Therese retired to Va Beach to be near some of their grandchildren, and to play golf with family and friends. Each year Denny and his brother Rich competed for the coveted “Pauley Trophy.”
We will hold Denny’s memory close to our hearts, retelling his funny impersonations and desire to make people laugh, we will miss his laugh. A private family Memorial will be held. Memorial contributions to honor Denny R. Pauley may be made to Sentara Hospice House, Va Beach VA.
