Diana Marie Davidson, 74, went to be with her heavenly father on October 30, 2023.
Diana was born March 4, 1949 in Max Meadows, VA to the late Luella and Alonzo Warden. She spent the majority of her life in Virginia Beach, VA and most recently, Fancy Gap, VA. Although she had several jobs in her lifetime, Diana most enjoyed her time working in John B Dey Elementary School’s cafeteria. She loved seeing the children every day and was known to give snacks to children who were most in need.
Diana was a sweet, kind and generous person who loved Jesus, her family and friends. She loved to laugh and could be very silly. Diana enjoyed telling ghost stories, feeding squirrels, playing games on her tablet, watching hours of SVU and listening to music. Her favorite singer was Willie Nelson.
Her greatest joys were her grandchildren who grew up playing “witch” with Grammy. She was affectionately known as “the lady” by her youngest granddaughter.
Left to cherish her memory are:
Husband of over 50 years, Michael Paul Davidson of Fancy Gap, VA
Daughters and Son in Laws, Lisa and Scott Dignan of Fairlawn, VA; Katherine and Greg Miller of Chesapeake, VA; Amanda and Craig Taylor of Fancy Gap, VA
Grandchildren, Michael Miller, Emily Dignan and Sophia Miller
Brothers, James Warden, Gary Warden, Bruce Warden
Special family friends, Sally and Tom Bonk
Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Honoring Diana’s wishes, there will not be a memorial service. The family will celebrate her privately at a later date. Donations can be made to Great Neck Baptist Church by clicking here. Diana’s family is grateful to the church for everything they’ve done for Diana and her husband over the last few years.
