Mrs. Doloras J. Muth, 96, passed away peacefully on 02 February 2021.  Doloras was married 74 years to Captain Harold D. Muth, who passed in February 2017.  Doloras leaves four children, seven grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, as well as extended family members and friends who will miss her greatly.

She grew up in Chicago and married Harold, the boy next door, in 1943.  They started their life in the Coast Guard in New York.  Shortly after their arrival, Harold was assigned to a naval vessel and spent many months away from Doloras, protecting the east coast from the enemy.  Doloras was a Coast Guard wife for 34 years.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, avid cook, and cookie maker who raised one daughter and three boys (which was not an easy task with two of the boys!).  She also was an active member of Coast Guard Wives Clubs in many locations throughout Harold’s Coast Guard career.  Retirement led them to Bradenton, FL for 27 years, then to Chesapeake, VA in 2009.

Due to COVID issues, a private memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church on 06 February.  Memorial donations can be made to Hope Lutheran Youth.
