Grandpa Don, was a great man. I enjoyed sitting in a room with him, whether that was watching westerns and baseball games, making jokes, or just making simple conversation. He was a great person to be around, and I always would have a smile on my face when he always greeted me and said, "hey big guy", even when he was on his death bed. That was the humor, warmth, and love he would show to all his friends and family. Now he is in heaven, with the real "big guy" looking down on us as we mourn, but also celebrate, a great husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Grandpa Don, you will surely be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

You were awesome Don! I remember when I was young and my family and I came over, and each time you would do that "I got your nose" trick. What was even better was years later after moving to Norfolk I was able to enjoy a few Gus and George's meals with you, Helen, and my grandparents. Ill think of you every time I see a Bronco's game! You're in a much better place now. My thoughts and prayers to your family.

I will always remember Don as the kind and gentle giant that he was. He was so honest and funny and always made me smile. I will miss his humor and will always remember his reminder to "be good". My heart is sad for the loss of Don but know that he is now at peace. My deepest sympathies to Helen and the family.
