Dora Anna Murphy, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, in Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 75. Born on December 19, 1950, in Little Falls, NY, Dora lived a life full of love, resilience, and dedication.

Dora was a woman who embodied strength and determination. She faced life’s challenges head-on, transforming her journey from that of an abused single mother to one filled with happiness and love when she met her devoted husband, Jim Bauer, through her work in delivery and inventory at her job where they met. Over their 34 years together, their special bond of marriage of over ten years brought her immense joy, and together they built a life rich in family values and cherished memories.

Her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family and friends. Dora’s warm heart and open arms were a testament to the love she had for those around her. She dedicated her life to raising her children, Robert Sean Murphy and Michael Shane Murphy, instilling in them the virtues of kindness and perseverance.

Dora is preceded in death by her loving parents, William and Evelyn Green, and her dear sister, Margaret Halverson. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Jim Bauer; her sons, Robert Sean Murphy and Michael Shane Murphy; her sisters, Beatrice Boyer and Harriet Sharp; and her nieces, Carol Thomas and Cathy Rickard.
