Doris Gibson, born on November 20, 1941, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, at the age of 82. A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Doris was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister.

She is predeceased by her parents, JB and Doris Merritt of Portsmouth, VA; her husband, Charles Gibson; her daughter, Stephanie; and her brother, J.B. Doris leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her two sons, Butch and his wife Cindy Lou, and Michael and his wife Patty; three grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, and Kimberly; four great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Shirley Hudson and Joy Bell.

Per her wishes, no services will be held at this time. Doris will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
