Doris Jeanette Ambrose Sharp, 79, passed away at her home in the morning of Friday November 4, 2011. Born on April 16, 1932 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Bertie Ambrose.
Doris grew up around the Albemarle Sound. Her fond memories of her childhood inspired her creativity. She was able to recreate these memories through her wonderful paintings.
She was predeceased by her parents; 3 brothers; 5 sisters; and her daughter Jayme Sharp Lawerence.
Doris is survived by her loving and caregiver husband William Paul Sharp; sons, William Paul Sharp, Jr. and wife Sherri, Mark Sharp and wife Vicki; five grandchildren, Mark Sharp, Kristy Scheele and husband Kevin, Ryan Sharp and wife Katie, Scott Sharp and wife Jenny, and Matt Lawerence; three great grandchildren, Peyton, Cameron and Tallula.
Memorial service will be Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. Memorials can be sent to First Baptist Church of Ahoskie PO Box 649 Ahoskie, NC 27910-0649. Cremation Society of VA is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cremate.org.
