She is survived by her daughter Lisa M. Allen, and her son David P. Hughes Jr. Her grandchildren, Steven M. Saunders, Brian E. Saunders, Arren X. Allen, and Courtney L. Allen, were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Dorothy is also survived by her spouse, David P. Hughes Sr., her two brothers, one sister, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Robert Morton, and her four brothers, who she now joins in eternal rest.
