Dorothy Lee Gallagher Kessel ,96, of Hampton, Virginia, known as Ms. Dot, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. She was born in Dunnsville, Virginia on August 22, 1928. (2 Corinthians 5:8)

There will be no memorial service and cremation is being handled by the Cremation Society of Virginia in Newport News, Virginia. She was the oldest active member of Rappahannock Christian Church Dunnsville, Virginia becoming a member in 1940 and had been a resident of Hampton, Virginia since 1947.

Special recognition is given to Legal Aid of Tidewater, Amedisys Hospice and Harmony Cares of Williamsburg, Virginia, 633rd Medical Group JB Langley-Eustis, Sentara Careplex Hospital, Hampton Virginia Fire, Paramedics and EMS, St Joseph’s Catholic Church Hampton, Virginia and Rappahannock Christian Church Dunnsville, Virginia.

Our condolences to the family. We stayed with her and David her son many years ago ago when we were first married. Dorothy was a pleasure to be around.
