Preceding him in death was his father, Douglas F. Hand, Sr..
Family members surviving him are his mother, Shelby Hand; brother, Harold Hand; sister, Pamela Hand; and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Douglas “Frank” enjoyed many outdoor activities during his younger years, such as fishing and hunting with his father and brother, boating, some surfing, and archery. He also was an avid hot air balloon fan, who had his own balloon, although he did not have many opportunities to pursue this hobby. He liked online gaming and enjoyed videos, TV and computers.
