Virginia Beach – Douglas Stanislaus Lorson, born July 27, 1942, passed away on February 5, in the year of our Lord 2013. His devotion to the Roman Catholic Church led him on a lifelong path of kindness, humility, and love. Asking nothing for himself, he demonstrated an existence of dignified simplicity, enriched by his devotion to family and God. Stan will be remembered for his adoration of politics and gentle demeanor. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Essie Cole Lorson, and father, Joseph L. Lorson. Though his time here has passed, his legacy of strength and good will continues in his cherished daughter, Danielle Lorson, as well as his grandchildren, Tatum and Tyler. His surviving siblings are Agatha Jenkins, Joseph, Marcian, Martin, Brendan, and Basil Lorson. He also left behind many beloved nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. All family and friends are welcome to join us in remembering Stan Lorson.
