John Suchy left a message on January 23, 2011:
Dr. Hermann was my surgeon when I was with the Norwalk Police Department and sustained a gunshot wound to my leg. His surgical ability, together with his "no-nonsense" approach to rehabilitation and his dry humor, allowed me to return to my career in law enforcement for another 17 years. He is in my thoughts and prayers.

My husband Richard and I knew Dr. Jens Hermann socially for a brief time, through his wife, Cheryl. He was a very intelligent, humorous, and kind person who was an intriguing conversationalist, because he was so well informed on so many subjects. With his passing, the world has lost a strong and decisive man. He will be missed.
Phyllis Bolden left a message on January 21, 2011:

May the love of God, Family, dear friends, and his patients comfort you and strengthen you during your time of bereavement. He is forever in our hearts. Jens was a wonderful man, and one I enjoyed speaking with initially when he joined the Active Adult sneior program, and also when he came here to participate in the senior center Bridge classes. Although he shared with me that he had health issues, he never let that slow his activties. His spirit was very positive and he will truly be missed!
