Virginia Beach – Stanley J. Levine

Dr. Stanley J. Gigi Levine, 79, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009. Devoted husband of Roberta Robbie Levine for 55 years; loving father of Deborah Jonathan Gottlieb of Bethesda, MD and Gary Levine of Virginia Beach, VA; grandfather of Maya and Seth Gottlieb of Bethesda, MD and Libby and Macey Levine of Virginia Beach, VA. He was a member of Club 35, Brith Sholom and Congregation Beth Chaverim. Retired from the practice of optometry in Norfolk after 39 years, he lived a full and active life, enjoying tennis, bicycling and long walks on his beloved beach. He and his wife were avid cruisers, having taken over 50 cruises all around the world. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Gigis memory be forwarded to the Mayo Clinic Division of Hematology Research Program, 200 First Street SW, Rochester, Minnesota 55905 or to Congregation Beth Chaverim, 3820 Stoneshore Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23452-7965.
