Earl W. Van De Riet, Jr. passed away Friday, June 10^th, 2022 in Norfolk, VA. Earl was born on July 11, 1959 to Earl Sr. (deceased) and Senie Van De Riet in Norfolk, VA. He attended Indian River High School and attended Southeastern University in Florida.

Earl met the love of his life, Karen, on a blind date and they have been together ever since. With both having children from previous marriages, they combined their children and raised them together. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the light of his life and his everything.

His interests included fishing, bowling, and sports, which included Nascar, college football, baseball, softball, basketball, and his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Even though his health would not permit him to attend church, he read the word and prayed several times per day.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 24 years, Karen; his two daughters, Britney and Tiffany; his two grandchildren, Jackson and Rylee; his step son, Tynan Gramm, his wife, and their three children; and many extended relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, June 18^th, 2022 at Chesapeake Baptist Church, 1101 Burns Street, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Matt Nettesheim officiating.
