On Wednesday, June 24, 2020, Eddie Lee Baker passed. He was born to the late William and Louise on February 23, 1955. He attended school in Newport News, VA, attended Job Corp and enlisted in the Navy. He had many job skills, the last being bricklaying.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, William and Louise Baker; his brother, William P. Baker, Jr. and sisters, Angel, Patricia and Linda.

His memories will be cherished by his wife, Evelyn Baker; son, Darian Murphy; stepmother, Mable Baker; sisters, Peggy Hawkins (Lawrence) and Ethel Baker-Brown (Larry) all of Newport News, VA and sister, Sharlene Thomas of Maryland. He is also survived by three aunts and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with the arrangements.

It is with great sadness to hear of my cousin Eddie's passing. He was always known as Charlie to us. Although I haven't seen him in awhile it seems likes just yesterday that he and the family (Uncle Pete, Aunt Louise and all his siblings) would visit us in NC during the summers.
