Elisabetha Black, 84, passed away peacefully at home on February 5^th, 2021.  Born in Kaiserslautern, Germany on May 1^st, 1936 to parents Elisabetha and Friedrich Kirchner.  Elisabetha was preceded in death by twin siblings, Eva Maria Kirchner and Fritz Kirchner; her nephew, Fritz Kirchner, and her beloved husband, Eddie Bell Black.

Elisabetha retired from a career in food management and catering.  She loved cooking and baking and had excellent culinary skills. She also hosted amazing parties and holiday events, some legendary, filled with food, fun, laughter and lots of love.

Our beloved mother is survived by her two daughters, Heidi Bryant and Anna Bell Nowak; son in law, Timothy Nowak; and grandson, Aaron Scott Bryant.  Her four great grandchildren are Aaron Bryant, Alijah Bryant, Mya Bryant, and Jeramya Bryant.  She is also survived by two nieces, Eva Maria Stumpf and Daniella Kirchner.  She will be deeply missed.

A private ceremony was held for the family, per her last wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Elisabetha to the Peninsula Regional Animal shelter at 5843 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA 23605 or 757-933-8900.
