The family of Elizabeth Anne Strickland would like to announce that after 92 years on this earth, their mother has gone home with the Lord on February 21, 2013.
Raised in Los Angeles, she met her future husband, the late Hon. Edwin E. Strickland, and transplanted to become a lifelong Floridian. Miami and Tallahassee became her homes, where she was involved in many clubs and activities. Summers were spent in her beloved Highlands, NC, prowling the mountains with her numerous friends. She traveled the world and her life was good.
Left to cherish her memory; her sister, Marilyn Rudley of Los Angeles, CA, her daughters, Nansi A. Strickland Charles Simpson and Barbara S. Page; beloved grandchildren, Edward Page and Elizabeth Page GaltNicholas and great-grandchildren, Brooke and Gabriel. A special thanks to her loving caregiver, Theresa Simms.

Dear Barbara and Nansi, So sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She had many friends and we all will miss her for her unique sense of humor and her love of life. When I think back I can see her sitting on the sofa in Highlands knitting and talking about her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly and would do anything for. I have a plate that was painted by your mom in one of my bedrooms and I bet she painted it in china painting class in Highlands with my mom. They were quit a pair together. I feel blessed to have known your mother . I hope you both know how much she was loved. Barbara and Nansi you are in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. I hope you will keep in touch.
