Elizabeth Marie Maxwell passed away peacefully July 27, 2022. She was born June 30, 1943 in Greene County, N.C. Marie was a long time resident of Newport News where she worked at A&P. She then went to work at Food Lion as a Manager where she retired.

Marie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charlie and two sons, Donnie and Keith Taylor. She is survived by her son, Greg Taylor; sisters, Francis Driver and husband, Johnnie, Shirley Blake and Connie Singleton and husband, JD and brother, Tommy Grant and wife, Faye. Marie had three grandchildren, Aaron, Amber and Clay; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, another one on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marie also had two special people in her life, Brenda Brennan and Fran who she loved dearly.

A Memorial Service will be conducted August 11, 2022 at 1 pm at Olivet Christian Church in Newport News, officiate by David Willis.

We will surely miss that crazy laugh and wonderful personality, Marie. You were loved by many.
