Born in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 17, 1929 to the late Henry and Bertha Johnson, she moved to Virginia in the early 1950s and had a respective career in Real Estate. After remarrying her husband, Capt. Paul K. Taylor, she resided in Newport News until her death.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, sister, brother, step-daughter, Travis Derring and granddaughter, Dawn
She is survived by her sons, Mike Susan, Jerry Nina and P.K. Connie; daughter, Linda Ann; granddaughters, Brittany Lyn and Stacy Taylor; grandsons, Michael Scott, Trey, Austin Dustin; step-daughter, Kilmer Larry; great-granddaughter, Ally; great-grandsons, Mike, Tylon and Ryan; great-great-grandson, Kayne and her best friend, her service dog, Skipper.
A celebration of her life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Mike’s Place, Warwick Village Shopping Center, Newport News.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Peninsula SPCA.
Cremation Society of Virginia is in charge of arrangements and condolences to the family may be made at www.cremate.org.
