Virginia Beach – Ellen Louise Murphy, 86, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.
Born October 26, 1929 in Scituate, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Stella Bergman.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack Murphy, and by her brother, Fred Bergman. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Marshall and her husband Mike of Annandale, VA; her son Danny Murphy and his wife Holly of Virginia Beach; and her daughter Bonnie DeWolf and her husband Pete of Virginia Beach; grandchildren Erin DeWolf Evans and husband Jake of Virginia Beach; and Christopher Marshall of Annandale, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Angelica Wexel for her caring support of Mom, and to Scott and the rest of the gang at the Hilltop YMCA for giving Mom a reason to keep moving all of these years.
Funeral services will be conducted at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1969 Woodside Lane, Virginia Beach, at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 19, 2016 with the Reverend Dr. Stanley Sawyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local SPCA.
