Snookie was a trip!! After I lost my best friend, Gary, I felt lost and my family’s tie to the Haith family was different. I worked for Sissy and she was the best boss ever. James is someone that I always looked up to. Laurie the beautiful sister. Ann the little quiet sister. Mr Haith the walker. Snookie, my brother and I had some adventures after we lost Gary - some were a little dangerous) Years later, as a father, watching my kids compete in martial arts at Va Wesleyan. I looked into the stands and there was Snookie. Why? Still have no idea and yet I hugged him like the brother I lost.

I am very sorry to read of Snookie's death. I met him about 55 years ago when my Dad Robert Turner, and his Dad Ed Haith worked together at VDOT. Snookie, like his father, was very special. Rest in peace.
