It has been 47 years since I last saw him, but I recognized his smile right away. We were high school buddies in 10th grade, then after high school he hitchhiked with me from Virginia Beach to Texas, just to keep me company. It is good to know that he was surrounded by good folks.

I am truly sorry for the loss of a great person. I met Eric sometime ago and sense that day he was always a true friend to me. Such a funny and very lovable person. I remember one night we were standing at the bar in South Beach Grill and I heard this loud noise. I looked at Eric and asked him if he just farted. His reply was priceless. He looked at me with a look that only his friends would know and said, No, my butt is sleep and it’s snoring. I thought I was going to fall over. I had some great times with him and one of his friends David, another good person, from playing pool to foosball, or what ever we did, you can bet we had a great time together. It’s really sad to find out of his passing but you can bet, he will be remembered by many. Rest in piece my friend.
