Erio, (Eddie) was born in Lima Peru to Jose Chaparro and Lorena Duarte. He moved to New York after graduating from LaSalle High School in Peru. He met his soulmate, and the love of his life, Denise, (Dee Pecora) in Mamaroneck, N.Y. They married after knowing each other for 10 months, and spent the next 50 years having fun! They had 2 children, Joshu (Genivieve) and Justin (Tara) and 4 of the most loved grandchildren in the world. Elise and Ember and the twins, Sadie and Silas.

Eddie spent 27 years in the Navy, retiring in 2002 as a Senior Chief and retired in Virginia Beach, Va,  He went around the world a few times and enjoyed the Navy life. Along the way, he met hundreds of people, made hundreds of friends. He told the stories and had the light in his eyes. He was so funny, made everyone laugh. He favorite place, however, was home with his family.

Left to remember him are his brothers Javier (Adrienna), Jaime (Marta),  Jose, Paulo, sisters , Isabel, Juani,  Ana Maria Alvarado, Livia, Paula, Ria, Lorena and other extended family members in Peru. He has many nieces and nephews. He loved them all.

Eddie was pre deceased by his father, Jose (Pepe) Chaparro, his mother, Lorena Duarte, his step mother Teresa, and 2 brothers, Pepe and Alfredo..

Eddie will be missed by all that knew him and he will ALWAYS be loved by his family.
