He was the son of Ernest L. Sr. and Ruth B. Kincaid. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company and the Daily Press, as an electrician, where he retired after 20 years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, S. Jennifer S. Kincaid and by two sons, Nick and his wife, Debbie and Charles and his wife, Hope. He leaves three grandchildren, Nathan, Anthony and Michelle. He is survived by his brother Ackley and his wife, Anne and one sister, Kay Easthom.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Sentara Hospice.
