Ethel M. Newhall, 95 of 985 Fleet Drive passed away Oct. 9, 2010. Ethel was born in Lynn, Massachusetts to the late William and Clara McCann. She had one sister, Olivia Shaw of Lynn Mass.
Ethel enjoyed knitting, and spent many years knitting caps and blankets for Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Harvey H. Newhall; son, Frederick D. Newhall of Ft. Myers Florida; daughter, Linda F. Bergeron and her husband Kenneth F. Bergeron of Chesapeake; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Atlantic Shores Retirement Community, Virginia Beach, Saturday October 16, 2010 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center, DUMC 3832, Durham, NC 27710.
