Eunice P. Turner – Norfolk
Eunice P. Turner of Norfolk, Va, went to be with our Lord on 6 August 2010 at the age of 85 after a full life. She was a native of Dale County Alabama and had resided in Norfolk, Va for most of her adult life.
Eunice retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility after a long Civil Service career as an Accounting Clerk. She was a longtime member of Ocean View Baptist Church, where she volunteered many long hours. She was a participant and volunteer in many of the clubs and organizations she belonged to; American Business Woman’s Association, National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Norfolk Senior Olympics, Northside Civic League, Lake Taylor Hospital, DePaul Hospital, Wells Theater, and Harrison Opera House. Besides her career and volunteer work she was an excellent homemaker; she enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting and gardening. She shared all the fruits of her labors with her friends and family.
She is survived by her sons Ronald and Donald. Ronald lives in Oriental, NC with his wife Camilla. Donald lives in Chesapeake with his wife Jo Ann. She has five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The grandchildren are; Kim Michelle and Todd Parsley, Robert and Jean Turner, Wendell Turner, Kevin Turner and Angie and Jason Kulengusk. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate Eunice’s life will be held at 2pm Sunday August 15 at Ocean View Baptist Church, 9504 Selby Place, Norfolk, Va 23503. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ocean View Baptist Church or a charity of your choice. Reception to follow service.
