Evonda Clark, AKA “Tru” was called home to the heavens on November 8, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in New Jersey in April of 1965 to the late John Clark and Ruby J. Swanson (Clark).
Evonda was a member of Forever Free Outreach Ministries.
She was a collector of all sorts; so much that she owned and operated her own resale business as well as helping others in need. She had a passion for the water and loved to fish and crab, hence her favorite food being seafood.
She is preceded in death by Joseph Debraux Sr. ( who raised her since 5 yrs old). Left to cherish her memory is Mildred Debraux (who raised her since 5 yrs old); daughter Evona Clark; son Romeo Rankins; 4 grandkids Healani Jackson, Naquain Hill, Saiyonxe McCall, and Nasir McCall; siblings Tonia Mckiver, Isha Clark, Joseph Debraux (Sandra), and Joslyn Reagor (Gary); her Godson Zymir Logan; her special friend Spanyarna Davis; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A special thank you to her niece Candace Coleman, Old Dominion Rehabilitation and Nursing staff, and At Home Hospice Care staff.
Evonda Clark may have left this earth, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in eternal peace, our beloved. Your light will always shine brightly in our memories.
