Ohhhh Mrs O’kane, where can I start with you? Your energy and soul was so beautiful and one of a kind. My mom Nia Smith, who was the janitor at the assisted living home you were living at took care of you as if you two We’re family and you known each other y’all whole life. My mother did not play when it came to you. She made sure she went above and outside of her job to make sure you were treated with respect and taken care of properly. It hurts me so much, knowing that you are no longer with us because you Gave my mom a purpose to want to come to work And yall always put a smile on each other face even when she she didn’t feel the best. She would FaceTime me while she is on her break and put me on the phone with you and we would talk for a little bit and you always told me “ you have a wonderful mother please make sure you take care of her” and I always said “I know and I will😂” God bless you Mrs O’kane and god bless you’re family I thank you so much for being such a wonderful person, rest peacefully.

Our friendship began in the early 1960's and every day brought us new adventures! We could talk for hours (recently) and laugh at our antics! We shared the ups and downs of our lives. The best of times was spent with my dear friend and she will remain in my heart forever. Rest in peace... I love you, Sissy...

I didn’t know Sissy, or any of her friends or family, but I read her obit as the photo caught my attention. Wow, this family was blessed with a wonderful, fun loving, lady. I miss her, and I didn’t even know her. May your fondest memories see you through your grief. RIP, Sissy.
