Dear Mom, I don't have enough words to express how much you mean to me, how much I love and admire you, or how deeply I am missing you. I am so grateful we had amazing parents who gave us a blessed and happy life. Give Daddy lots of hugs from the girls and I. I love you and Dad, always.

Lala, Thank you for being my second mother and first best friend, I will always hold our shared hobbies and connections close to my heart. I remember when I was little and sat between you and PopPop one night in bed and begun to cry. I had cried in fears of the inevitable - that one day you and him would leave me here on this earth without two of the most important people in my life. Despite my tears, you both reassured me that death was natural, and that you both didn’t plan on passing anytime soon and that it would all be okay. What had most likely felt like years from that conversation to the two of you, as I write this - that night felt like it was yesterday. I will always regret the conversations I didn’t get to have with the two of you, the chances I wish I would’ve got to show my grandparents the person I’m growing up to be. No matter how I feel, however, I know everything happens for a reason. Although, the 18 years I had your amazing, beautiful, and kind loving light in my life will one day seem short, I will live loving the longevity of our friendship and our love and forever be thankful for the opportunity of being so close and dear to you and Pop Pop. Rest for me, in peace and power, -M.

LOVE CAME FIRST You do not move on after loss, but you must move with it. You must shake hands with grief, welcome her in, for she lives with you now. Pull her a chair at the table and offer her comfort. She is not the monster you first thought her to be. She is LOVE. And she will walk with you now, stay with you now, peacefully, if you let her in. And on the days when your anger is high, remember why she came. Remember who she represents. REMEMBER. Grief came to you my friend because love came first. LOVE CAME FIRST. - Donna Ashworth
