Felicita M. Alicea, born on September 9, 1947, in New York City, passed away peacefully on a sunny Sunday on December 8, 2024, at the age of 77.
Beyond her professional accomplishments in the Aerospace industry, Felicita’s greatest pride and joy were her family. As a loving mother, she devoted her life to nurturing and supporting her children. She gracefully took on the responsibility of raising her family while her beloved husband, Joseph Alicea, was deployed, ensuring a strong and stable home for their daughters.
Felicita was the youngest of six children, born into a vibrant and close-knit family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Marina Madonado; her sisters and her beloved husband, Joseph M. Alicea.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Elloise Hitshew and her husband Mark, Jeanne Alicea, and Jessica Alicea; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren who will continue to honor her legacy with love and remembrance.
Services for Felicita are pending at this time. Inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, her best friend, her life’s partner, reflecting the enduring bond they shared.
Felicita’s warmth, intelligence, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
