Frank Messina, 73, passed away May 25, 2018. Frank was born in Brooklyn, NY, enlisted with the U.S. Air Force having served 4 years during the Vietnam era stationed in Germany and later owned several businesses in the Hampton Roads area. He was a Master Locksmith and member of the Associated Locksmiths of America. Upon his retirement he became a Master Gardener in Myrtle Beach, SC and continued when he moved to Williamsburg, VA. Frank enjoyed many adventures in his life and retirement and loved working with wood-working, stain-glass, gardening and most of all God.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Michael Angelo Messina and Filomena Tumbiolo Messina.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Nelson Messina. His two sons, Michael Walter Messina and wife Karri of Mechanicsville Va. and their two children Kaedance and Koen; Christopher Frank Messina and wife, Carrie of Fairfax Va. and their son, Finnegan; his sister, Suzanne Messina Toscano and niece, Susie Toscano. He also leaves his family sweet four-legged friend and family member, Charlie Brown Messina.
Plans are pending for a Life Celebration Service at LifePointe Christian Church in July. In lieu of flowers or gifts the family asks for donations in memory of Frank be directed to either organization listed below:
