I think I met Fred way back in the 70's! He loved his beer and the Grateful Dead for as long as I knew him. If ever a man needed a woman to take care of him, that was Fred. He was very gregarious but extremely knowledgeable (ODU graduate) but his own worst enemy! He found bad luck like a penny on the ground but that was his plight in life. So long Fred, what a long strange trip its been.

I knew Fred for forty years and have many good memories of times spent with friends. Fred had a huge heart and a zest for life that unfortunately lead to his early demise. Rest in peace Fred.
