It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frederick M. “Freddy” Bendetto of Virginia Beach. VA, who departed this world on March 1, 2025, in Virginia Beach. Freddy was a beloved son, husband, father-in-law, and friend.
Freddy dedicated many years of his life to working as a butcher at a local grocery store, a profession where he was known for his skill and camaraderie. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him appreciated his work ethic and the care he took in every task.
Before his career, Freddy proudly served his country as a Navy veteran, an experience that shaped him and remained a significant part of his identity throughout his life.
Freddy was preceded in death by his loving parents and his cherished wife, Julia Bendetto. He leaves behind a family that will miss him dearly, including his daughter-in-law, Peggy Lawson, who remembers him fondly for his warmth and generosity.
In accordance with Freddy’s wishes, no formal services will be held. His family asks that those who knew him keep him in their thoughts and honor his memory in their own way.
Freddy will be remembered for his gentle spirit, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
