Frederick Nicholas Bacskay, 71, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.  Fred was a graduate of Indian River High School and attended Tidewater Community College.  Fred worked as a security guard in Virginia Beach.  Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Frances C. Bacskay and Frank W. Bacskay, Sr.  and his brother, Frank W. Bacskay, Jr.  Fred is cherished in memory by a brother, Stephen E. Bacskay of Norristown, PA and a sister, Karen B. May of Chesapeake, VA and a nephew, Stefan M. Bacskay of Lorton, VA.   Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s name to the American Heart Association or the National Alliance for the mentally ill. Services are private.
