Gary Bramble passed away peacefully on May 29, 2014 in Virginia Beach. His family was by his side during his final hours, including his wife of 26 years, Karen Jordan Bramble, their son Jordan Bramble of Arlington, VA, and their daughter Alexandra Bramble of Virginia Beach. He is predeceased by his parents Jeanne Penrose and Charles Bramble. In addition to his wife and children, Gary is survived by his sister Candice Palgut of Orlando, FL.
Gary was retired from the City of Virginia Beach as a surveyor in the department of public utilities, engineering. Gary had a passion for hunting and fishing. But most of all, he loved the outdoors. He had a huge respect for the environment and the creatures that inhabited it.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 2 at 2:00 by Pastor Bill McClung at Salem United Methodist Church, 2057 Salem Road, Virginia Beach. A reception will follow at the Virginia Beach National Golf Club, 2500 Tournament Drive.

Gary had an excellent team of doctors that cared for him during his long, brave battle with kidney cancer. The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Conkling’s staff at Virginia Oncology, Dr. Roger Perry at EVMS, Dr. Lance and Jennifer Kucenski of Urology of Virginia, and Dr Ghandi Saadeh at Sentara. The family would also like to thank Laura Zeisberg with Sentara Hospice and the staff at Sentara Hospice House for their compassionate and supportive care.
