Born in Hampton, VA, on May 5, 1946, she had been a longtime resident of Newport News, VA, where she lived with her beloved husband of 30 years, Kenneth Moore.
She spent her last days surrounded by friends, family, children, and her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the great joy of her life.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec 9, 2024, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 831 Poquoson Ave, Poquoson, VA 23662, officiated by the Rev. Eric Vaudt, with a reception immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her name to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter at www.CHKD.org or by mail to CHKD – Attn: Philanthropy, P.O. Box 2156, Norfolk VA 23501.
