George Bruce, Jr., a dedicated man known for his service and passion, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Virginia Beach, VA. Born in Bronx, NY, George lived a life marked by hard work, love for travel, and a commitment to his family.

He served our country honorably in the Air Force for four years, demonstrating his patriotism and sense of duty. Following this, he spent his career working with the New York Housing Authority as a rent collector, where he was known for his diligence and integrity.

Beyond his professional endeavors, George enjoyed imparting his knowledge as a driving instructor, guiding many to safe and confident driving. He also had a profound love for travel, exploring various places and experiencing diverse cultures.

Preceded in death by his parents, George Bruce, Sr. and Anna Bruce (Williams), George leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory. Surviving him are his two children: daughter, Nadine White and her partner Mark Spratley and George (Jay) Bruce III, along with his beloved grandchildren, Sean Kerson, Jonisha Kerson, Marcus Spratley, Noah Bruce.

In accordance with his wishes, the family will hold a private gathering to honor and remember George’s life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
