George L. Bensley Jr. – Chesapeake

George Lewis Bensley Jr. Pop, 69, of Chesapeake, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord, October 24th, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, October 7th.
He was a decorated United States Navy veteran and civil servant.
He was survived by his three children, Annemarie Stavish of Moyock, North Carolina; David Allen Bensley of Gates, North Carolina and Sue Ellen Fricker of Jacksonville, Florida; and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved sister Christina Bensley of Baltimore, Maryland; sister Juanita Cooper of Elizabeth City and a brother Norman Hess of Belair, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to Hospice of Chesapeake, Virginia.
A burial at sea will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cremate.org.
