Ginny & family lived in Middleburg, VA during her high school years. After graduating from Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Richmond, VA, Ginny enjoyed a 50+ year nursing career which included various areas of nursing, including 26 years managing Intensive Care Units.
Ginny is survived by her devoted, loving husband, G. Donald (Don) Gartrell, a brother, William Rypka, his bride Karen and son Liam; nephews Michael Rypka, David Gartrell; and Jon Gartrell, his bride, Kristen, and sons Jackson and Grayson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Down Syndrome Association of Northern Virginia, 10467 Granite Drive, Suite 320, Oakton, VA 33124.
