Virginia Beach- Gloria Anne Salomone, 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

Gloria was born on June 15, 1928 in Bathurst, New Brunswick Canada and moved to the United States when she was in her twenties.

Gloria lived a fulfilling life as a loving mother to her four children, a caring sister to her four siblings, an amazing wife to her late husband and a friend to many. She enjoyed traveling and she loved cooking for her family.

She is preceded by her husband Anthony Robert Salomone. Left to cherish her memory is her four children, Christine (Ross) Pate, Tony Salomone; Jeannie Salomone, (Jeff, companion); Denise (Patrick) Dunthorn. Also left to honor her memories are her grandchildren: Tyler and Michael Pate; Collin and Taylor Dunthorn.

The family is especially grateful for the phenomenal care that was given to her from Lita and Marilyn. The family would also like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice for their outstanding care and compassion, especially her nurse Callie.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Oct 12, at Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
